The blast of the scythes when the Valkyries fly into the air, do a spin and then hit the ground suddenly means they will get easily hit out of the sky with a simple throw from the axe (or blade), even though in theory their scythes should, according to the other combat mechanics for the same NPCs, hit the projectile, rendering its throw to have little to no effect On the mountain whilst fighting the dragon, on harder difficulties you can block a shock wave sent out by the landing of a beast that weights at least 100 metric tonnes, yet you can't block the blast of a scythe which holds no significance (as far as we know) to the plot Even if the rings themselves were incredibly powerful, there is no way they should be more powerful than the melee attacks The Valkyries' animation for throwing the hoops are also not very good, they don't simulate the amount of damage they do. You can't block a death ring, it's a RING, not a mountain, yet for some reason you can block lunges from the scythes even though the rings were thrown with about the same force of a hula-hoop There are instances where you can't block a spinning standing swing from a scythe, yet for some reason you can perfectly block a lunging swing which should use a lot more force than the mentioned spinning standing swings. Here is a list of the things that I think are bullshit about the Valkyries: Their wings do not seem to serve any purpose. Their models and their fighting styles do not for well together. The attacks of the Valkyries are very inconsistent with what you can or cannot block.
